it works well for our lab mix with shorter more wirey hair but our retreivers coat lost its sheen and luster. the furminator seemed to give him split ends and it also made his dry skin/allergy issues worse.

Rating: - Why didn't anyone tell me about this sooner???
Oh my gosh. I have allergies and am so pleased when I was told about this product. I got it for 1/2 the price it is in the store and couldn't beat the "free shipping." I have a golden retriever and it really helps to get rid of her fur, especially all the dandruff from her winter coat. I was amazed the first day of all the hair I removed. The other reviews were very helpful in my final decision, too. I have since told several other people about this secret tool!

Rating: - It actually works!
I've had my eye on the Furminator for a few months now. I ordered it once my vet recommended it as a solution to the shedding problem. I've only had it one day, but it's change my cat situation in a very positive way!
My two cats shed so much. Every time I pet them there's dead fur in the air and wherever they sit. After a few brushings with this comb, the flying fur is gone. This makes having my cats on my lap, my desk or in my bed even more of a pleasure.

Rating: - Not what I had hoped for
I have a black dog who sheds constantly. I had all my hopes up that this would be the tool. But my dog hates it and gets very upset if I use it on her. I keep trying, and she keeps fighting me, and the hair keeps falling!

I don't know if it is just my dog, or if the blade is dull or what the problem could be. But it is useless to me.
