Any musical with such heartfelt emotion from nuns who secretly desire to share the spotlight, become dancers or ventriloquists and even become Country and Western singers offers Dan Goggin (composer) the opportunity to reflect every style of music. The lyrics are easy to follow and you, too, will be caught up with the Nunsense nonsense - guffawing to the Just a Coupla Sisters song, the Holier than Thou refrain and the Andrews sisters who go to the drive-in to escape the bitter reality of Hoboken's health authorities pending inspection of the nunnery's freezers that contain just a few too many dead nuns for comfort. A riot of a show, this is a riot of clever, witty and inspired music and riotous lyrics.
