Editorial Review:

Amazon.co.uk Review:
Nas is incredibly talented, and most of Street's Disciple is as impressive as anything he's done in the previous few years. He's still hip-hop's most compelling and sophisticated lyricist (sorry Eminem, Jigga), and more than a few tracks here burn with his verbal heat–-a flood of phrases and metaphors that inspire imagery as rich as in any movie. Though this album is twice as long as it needs to be, half of this double-CD set is truly hot. --Oliver Wang

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - ONE OV THE BEST

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - A DOUBLE CD OF ONE OF THE BEST IN THE BUSINESS
Ten years deep in the rap game, Nas unveiled Street's Disciple, an indulgent album that sprawls across two discs, freewheeling through a dizzying array of ace productions and thoughtful raps. The album is very much a continuation of its predecessor, God's Son: both helmed primarily by producers Salaam Remi and Chucky Thompson, both uncompromising personal statements that make few concessions to the pop market, and both undoubtedly fascinating, if overindulgent. The difference is, Street's Disciple ... Read More

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Not the best, but one of the illest
Ok, i speak for all people when i say this is certainly no illmatic, however this is a good double disc album.

One of my favourite tunes, and i cant understand why this wasnt a single, was 'Virgo' featuring Doug E. Fresh and Luda himself. In order to get back to his best, hes gonna have to go way beneath the surface and see what is really wrong with the world and hip hop in general.

Ironically, this is featured in his upcoming album, 'Hip Hop Is Dead.....The N'. However the ... Read More

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - True Legend
Nas' status and reputation in the rap world are legendary but it seems like he's been trying to get back to his best (Illmatic) since forever. God's Son got some bad reviews but I liked it - the tracks were big; big beats, big rhymes and (potentially) big hits. Very different from Ill but up there with his better stuff. Nas took a slight step back for me with Street's Disciple. A lot has been said about the length of the album (26 including skits/intros) and for me it is too long. An hour and a half ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Nas Covering Issues...
First Things First Streets Discple Kicks Black Album to the curve.
I have heard so much negative stuff bout this album. but nas is grown up now and is being an example to Hip Hop Artists. Nas is doing his own thing. This album proves that hot Hip-Hop music can be sincere and most of all authentic and true to the artist. Politics, sexually transmitted diseases, role models, marriage, parenthood among other issues are touched.Nas’s opinion on the americanelection is clear: “I ain’t with the ... Read More
