Rating: - not the best
I loved this one when it came out, but listening to it again 20+ years later, I think there are quite a lot of fillers on it. It certainly does not compare to Overkill (the one before) or Ace of Spades (the one after), nor to some of their later works. If you want the whole collection, then buy it, but if you just want a few Motorhead cds in your collection, there are better ones out there.

Very Motorhead in fact. Not the same as Overkill, but why would it be? It's a different album, and it's menacing in parts, just listen to Lem's naration on "Sweet Revenge", mostly just "classic" 'Heed though. The formula's right, and had been since their eponymous debut as you know. Motorhead has never really changed and never will. All 5 stars awarded by me, fellas. I was there.

I wouldn't really recommend this CD. It is the original line up, but they seem to be playing a relaxed, even laid back type of rock n roll.
Not as fast, or powerful as many other Motorhead albums.
Only 3 stars.

It could be argued that "Overkill" is a better album, but "Bomber" really put the Motor boys on the rock map. They toured heavily all the time, ... Read More
