Shaggy's comeback album, 'Hotshot,' is refreshing to listen to. It is a non-underground, swear-free, chart-friendly combination of rap to pop. It is nice to see a rap LP that doesn't go on boasting graphically about violence and drugs - Shaggy chooses to boast about being the sexiest man in the world and boasting about his collection of girls instead. Rating: - Shaggy from Scooby Doo could do better
Very disappointing, with the exception of the BRILLIANT 'It Wasn't Me' which earned 1½ stars itself !! Incredibly. this song will earn Shaggy his THIRD UK number one single (all three of which are worthy of that achievement) but unfortunately the rest of this album isn't up to much. Dance and Shout is in my opinion the only other decent track and even that is courtesy of a certain Mr MJ Jackson.
