From Amazon.com: To many people, Enya has become synonymous with new age music. Her haunting voice, clear and crisp above richly woven musical arrangements and adaptations, represents some of the best in the genre. Her performances on The Memory of Trees justify the Celtic songster's reputation. Songs like "China Roses" and "Hope Has a Place" complement the simple elegance of traditional folk music with luxuriantly layered instrumentation and highly crafted studio production. The ultimate effect is dazzling, to be sure. Whether she sings in English, Gaelic, or Latin, Enya conveys a profound, if slightly disconcerting, mix of spirituality and sensuality. --L.A. Smith

Rating: - A LOVELY CD TO RELAX TO
No surprises here, of course -- Enya didn't achieve new age superstardom by challenging anyone's expectations. This album is every bit as hushed, lovely, and soulless as everything else she's ever done; like a perfect angel food cake, it's sweet, soft, and utterly lacking in nutritive substance. Rating: - Sensational Artist!!
- Being of irish origin i guess i am biased however, this is an amazing album. Enya's music is both sensual and dramtic - the track "Pax Deorum" sung in latin is so powerful yet calming and never ceases to hit me in a way that no poetry or art or any other music has ever done before!! - on the other hand tracks such as "Athair Ar Neamh" are so peaceful and tranquil. - all of the songs are beautifully composed and stick quite strongly to the traditional gealic origins which are made to soar ... Rating: - 11 tracks
If for some reason you're interested in only a selection of the songs herein, the same recordings of "Anywhere Is", "China Roses", "The Memory of Trees", and "On My Way Home" have been collected on PAINT THE SKY WITH STARS.
Enya composed all the music, sang all the songs, and provided all the accompaniment; Roma Ryan wrote the lyrics; Nicky Ryan helped with the arrangements and handled the engineering and mixing. Except where noted otherwise, each song is sung in English.
Rating: - Beautiful - deserves more stars than I can give here
Firstly, I admit to being an ardent Enya fan. Still, some music touches your heart in ways nothing else can. This CD contains just such music. This music is atmospheric and uplifting. Enya has a voice like fine crystal, pure and beyond compare. The most beautiful track on this CD is Athair Ar Nearmh - it has crystal clear beauty of such quality that you can only imagine the angels of heaven being capable of achieving it - you just need to close your eyes and feel the beauty of it. I am in complete awe ...

Enya is one of the most relaxing artists around today. For non-taxing music do listen to these marvellous tracks particularly late at night. You will not be dissapointed.
